WIPoS is a cooperative research project of the Universities of Applied Sciences in Gießen and in Dresden: "Fachhochschule (FH) Gießen-Friedberg" and "Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (HTW) Dresden"

The target of this research project is to improve the performance of "Wireless Indoor Positioning Systems" based on wireless access technologies like WLAN, GSM or UMTS by using novel antenna systems optimized for this application.

This project is funded by the AiF Research Program "FHprofUnd" of the "Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung" Germany from October 2008 until July 2011.
